A political pressure group in Warri North Local Government Council, Delta State, Team Solmik, yesterday, urged the All Progressives Congress, APC governorship candidate in the state, Chief Great Ogboru to withdraw his court case against the state Governor, Sen Ifeanyi  Okowa.

The governorship candidate of All Progressive Congress, APC and Co-ordinator, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Delta State, Olorogun Great Ovedje Ogboru, has hailed President Muhammadu Buhari on his swearing-in as President and Commander-In-Chief of Armed Forces.

The Court of Appeal sitting in Benin, Edo State today struck out Chief Great Ogboru’s joinder appeal challenging the Asaba High court judgment of March 18th, 2019 which nullified the list of candidates that emanated from Prophet Jones Erue led executive of the party in Delta State, including that of Chief Great Ogboru and the APC Delta Central Senator, Ovie Omo-Agege, describing the appeal as a “mere academic exercise.”

Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court sitting in Asaba, Delta State, Thursday in a landmark judgement again nullified the candidature of Great Ogboru as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and reaffirms the earlier judgment of Justice Toyin Adegoke of Federal High Court Asaba which nullified the candidacy of the embattled APC Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and other candidates from the sacked Jone Erue factional executive.

The All Progressive Congress, APC governorship candidate in the March 9th, 2019 election, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru, Wednesday, assured Deltans of reclaiming the stolen mandate given to him, saying that the injustice done on the party will certainly be reversed.

A Niger Delta group, Delta Peoples Mandate,DPM, has blasted the Association of Urhobo,Ex.-Militants headed by an ex-militant and self-styled General, HM Ebirie, over a recent publication in the newspapers, that okowa’s recent victory at the polls was a good omen and” hailed Ogboru for accepting defeat in congratulating the governor-elect” which would ginger infrastructural development in Delta State.

Against the rumour making the round that over N3 billion naira was released for the governorship election of the candidate of the Delta state All Progress Congress, APC, the Media Director of the Delta APC Campaign Organization, Mr. Zik Zulu Okafor, has warned in a strong term APC faceless group that Olorogun Great Ovedje Ogboru was not given N3 billion to run his election.

A Federal High Court sitting in Asaba on Monday voided the participation of Chief Great Ogboru as the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate  in the 2019 governorship election in Delta.

CHIEF Great Ogboru was the All Progressives Congress, APC governorship candidate for Delta State in last Saturday’s governorship election. Having lost for the sixth time to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, he speaks on his next line of action describing the election as the worst in the 20 years history of the state.

DELTA State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Great Ogboru has reacted to the declaration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as the winner of last Saturday’s governorship election in the state stating that “he will take steps necessary to defend the franchise and mandate of the people of Delta State.”
