THE fact that the Bible talks of good success also presupposes that some successes could be bad. In contributing to this view, a friend reminded us that any success that cannot be accessed is bad.

Hi Readers! I must confess that as I stood looking at Tayo’s two cute grandsons at her daughter, Dupe’s place in London, I felt inadequate. Was I jealous? No. Envious? Just a tiny bit. Tayo is my closest friend on earth, and we’ve both come a long way, but if you start out in life with someone, it’s impossible never to compare what you are/what you have with hers at some point.

Writing is cathartic; it’s the best way to really look at situations and make an appraisal that puts into consideration the truth and one’s core beliefs and convictions.

In a week of highwire events, there often is for the columnist, the feeling of standing lingeringly before a salad bar or a buffet of assorted cuisines. There’s much to be had, but alas, only so much can fit into the neat frame of our bodies in spite of our desires.

One obvious subject that has continued to elude the Nigerian nation is integration. Neither the political structure nor the law of the land is sufficiently positioned to redress the situation. The state of origin of every Nigerian has remained the most important ticket for getting anything.
