EASTER 2011 has come and gone and another is a year away. We have so ritualized Easter that the import of the event it celebrates is lost sight of. We have turned it into reminiscing.

SOMETIMES, one wonders what the numerous advisers that elected office holders surround themselves with actually do to earn their keep.

For two weeks running I have devoted my column to the need to give some attention to other sports.

I recall that, Late President UmarYar’Adua (God bless his soul) crystallized a 7-Point Development Agenda, which unfortunately, failed to impact positively on the social welfare of the critical mass in our country. Some critics believe that Yar’Adua would have done better if he focussed on two or three critical areas of deprivations for urgent attention and remedy.
