Sapele—A civil servant in Sapele, Delta State, Wilson Odebala, has denied  media reports linking him to be among several members of People Democratic Party, PDP, in Federal Ward 9/DSIEC Ward 14 of Oku-Ovwori, in Sapele, Delta State, who recently dumped the party for the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the area.

The All Progressives Congress APC has commiserated with the government and people of Plateau State over Saturday’s gruesome killings in some parts of the state and asked security agencies to rise to the challenge of arresting the perpetrators.

We led our delegates to go to the stand that belongs to Delta that they were illegally occupying and that is what happened. But we did not go there to attack them; we went there because we were the authentic delegates and that is the only place meant for us to seat and they occupied it illegally.

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Imo State, Dr. Hillary Eke, has denied ever having any discussions with the state Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, let alone reaching any truce with him over the crises in the party, saying the rumour was “a tissue of lies from the pit of hell.”

Newly registered political party, Young Progressives Party, YPP, has accused the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government of incompetence, over the continued logjam recorded in its budget preparations and over the incessant killings recorded across the country.

Senator Gbenga Ashafa, representing Lagos East Senatorial District in the Senate has described the All Progressives Congress, APC, as a “success” and a clear message to all that the party remained a very formidable force in the forthcoming general polls.
