THE International Women’s Day marked this Wednesday, March 8, was like a whirlwind. Across the globe, humanity felt the strength of womanhood. Women went on strike in various countries to press for fundamental rights, and as part of a consciousness that women can change the world.

THE Ministry of Foreign Affairs finally came out of the woodwork. And it did so with a sledgehammer aimed at President Muhammudu Buhari’s Special Adviser on Diaspora Matters, Abike Dabiri.

NOTE: That the Jonathan government was decadently corrupt is not to be debated any longer. Nor should it be debated too that virtually every one in that government helped themselves scandalously to the public till. What continues to be denied though is that Jonathan himself, on whose desk the buck should have stopped, had a hand in that filthy bazaar; or in the very unlikely event he did not, at the very least he should have remorsefully borne responsibility for the humongous theft that happened under his permissive -or even if negligent- watch.

I have only encountered President Olusegun Obasanjo twice. The first time was in 2001 when his Media Adviser, the late great journalist, Mr. Tunji Oseni, invited me to Aso Villa for the Presidential Media Chat series. The second event was quite dramatic.

TRULY, everyone has an underlying philosophy of life – even those to whom the subject of philosophy is anathema.
