Last week, I discussed President Buhari’s health issues. I said that while I understood why many people want more information, I also wonder whether we are entitled to know every nitty-gritty detail.
I also bemoaned his failure to establish a hospital on his home turf at which he and other Nigerians could receive world-class treatment. Here are some of the responses I received from Vanguard readers.
From Ifeka Okonkwo (firstname.lastname@example.org): Donu, my advice to our President is that he should throw in the towel to look after his health and to enjoy the rest of his life with peace of mind, in the comfort of his home with his family.
He should not burden himself of how to fix the problems of our richly blessed country that has been brought down on her knees, by greedy and unscrupulous Nigerians since the 70s till date and most regrettably who are still voraciously eating up our resources without qualms to the detriment of our country and its citizenry.

How much has Nigeria spent on Buhari’s health? His leadership has caused enough economic woe for us to pray that he spends the rest his tenure on medical vacation!

Dear Donu. It is not enough to know that Buhari is sick . Buhari belongs to all Nigerians and his treatment abroad is being financed by Nigerians. This situation would not be tolerated in climes where the citizens are respected
