In life, no season remains forever and similarly, situations also change one after another. When a storm emerges in an ocean, it creates violent wind and heavy rain, sometimes, causing a dreadful disaster but after some time there prevail a reign of calmness. Though the storm disturbs the man’s life, it will not remain for a long period as it soon disappears and calmness prevails everywhere.

It is about 132 days to next year’s presidential election. But it is less than 24 hours to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primary, holding in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital. Owing largely to the failings or otherwise of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration, which happened by accident about four years ago, Nigerians are understandably looking the direction of the opposition PDP for rescue and succour.

The stage is set for what would arguably be the most competitive presidential nomination conventions of the Fourth Republic holding tomorrow in Port-Harcourt.

THE Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has filed an application before a Federal High Court sitting in Abeokuta, seeking to set aside the orders of the court which directed the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to accept or process only list of candidates authenticated by Bayo Dayo-led factional exco of Ogun State PDP for 2019 elections.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that no plan can stop its Saturday’s national conventional to elect its presidential candidate for 2019 national elections.
