Grand patron of Nigeria’s Association of Movie Producers,AMP, and producer, Andy Boyo, has raised alarm following the rate at which Nigerian movies are pirated in some African countries, saying the ugly trend is currently depriving the filmmakers of potential international income.

Baby Mamas, a new movie which premiered at the Toronto Black Film Festival as well as the Durban International film festival  received a resounding ovation  on Sunday, September 30, when it was  screened at the Lights Camera Africa film festival  in Lagos.  

The premiere of romantic comedy movie, The Kinsman, drew wide admiration from guests as dazzling acts led by Kalu Ikeagwu, Ebele Okaro, Lota Chukwu and Yaw Onu stirred reverberating laughter across the fully-seated screening hall. ‘The Kinsman’ will hit Cinemas on October 5, 2018. 

Nollywood’s veteran thespian, Joke Jacobs, has had an illustrious career spanning over decades in the industry and  she’s probably the most adored and respected thespian in Nigeria, with many upcoming ones seeing her as a role model.

Following the recent restructuring and announcement of a new Creative Director for Miss Nigeria Beauty Pageant, the management of the organisation has  called for entries for the 2018 edition of the pageant.
