By substituting self centered and social activities for Ramadan specific activities such as Quran recitations, extra prayers, dhikr, helping the needy, etc. we can gain considerable nearness to Allah this time.

Sahoor does not entail you over fill your bellies, just as iftar does not mean a lavish party. All that we do in Ramadan is for the glorification of Allah and not to satisfy the flesh. Your sahur, iftar, Quran recitation, lecture/dawah, charity including your sleep are for the worship and glorification of Allah.

We are alive today to witness this Ramadan by His Grace. We must therefore be ready to do all that is required to gain multiple rewards by investing our money, energy and precious time for multiple rewards

We should not allow this special month to go without a good account of alleviating the pains of others and making someone feel real good as a human being.
