ABUJA–The Abuja Division of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria has restrained the organised labour from embarking on an indefinite nationwide strike next week.

The Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC) has threatened to report the Federal Government to the International Labour Organisation (ILO) over its White Paper on “No work, no pay’’ policy.

THE  Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, in Ekiti State, yesterday, described the claim by some former leaders of the Union that the Comrade Ade Adesanmi–led State Executive of the union has been dissolved, as spurious and a complete act of illegality.

The Organised Labour says the threat by the Federal Government to activate the “no-work- no pay’’ rule clause, will be a negation of workers’ right of association.

 The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has urged  the Federal Government (FG) to accelerate the implementation of the new minimum wage proposed by the tripartite committee on the issue.

Labour Con-gress, NLC, has fixed its national delegates’ conference, NDC, for February 5, 6 and 7, 2019 in Abuja.

THE organised labour has suspended the ongoing strike with effect from today, Sunday.

WORKERS under the employment of Enugu state Civil Service have refused to comply with the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, directive for industrial action over the implementation of proposed new minimum wage.

 The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Gombe State Chapter, has called on all stakeholders to continue to support the aggitation for a new minimum wage.

In spite of the concession granted aviation unions members to join the ongoing nationwide strike next week, 2nd October, the flight operations of Arik Air and Air Peace has Friday, disrupted for some hours  by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) who invaded  the General Aviation Terminal, GAT, of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos and forced the two airlines to stop processing passengers.
