The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to ignore what it described as the misguided advice on the next Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and do what is right.

Following rumours that the current management board of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, will soon be dissolved and the attendant fears that some politicians are already jostling to impose their preferred candidates on President Muhammadu Buhari, a Niger Delta youth group under the auspices of Niger Delta Challengers, NDC, has urged President Buhari to take full responsibility for the appointments of persons into the NDDC in the new dispensation. 

FOLLOWING recent calls by several stakeholders on the controversy surrounding the states to produce the next Managing Director and Chairman on the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Delta State Ethnic Nationalities Youth Leaders Forum, an umbrella body of all ethnic Nationalities youth  groups in Delta State has waded into the issue with serious findings.

The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Agboola Ajayi, on Monday dismissed media reports that he was lobbying for the post of Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

MANAGING Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Prof Nelson Brambaifa, had expressed shock over realisation that communities in Ikwerre kingdom, including Ubima, home to Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, have been without public power supply for over two years.
