Following concern that no fewer than 25 health workers at the University of Benn Teaching Hospital, UBTH, are in self isolation to monitor for possible contacting COVID-19 as a result of their contact with a patient who was said to have died of the virus, the hospital has said it has so far received three patients, who have been confirmed positive for the virus.

Pressures mount on Naira as external reserves heads below $34bn in April
The downward trend in the fortunes of the Naira last month is expected to persist this month even as the nation’s external reserves is expected to trend below $34 billion for the first time since September 2017.
Last month, the external reserves fell for the ninth consecutive months, shedding N1.135 billion. According to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) the reserves fell to $35.164 billion on March 31st from $36.299 billion on February 28th, indicating month-on-month (MoM) decline of 3.1 percent or a reduction by $1.135 billion.

FCMB Group revenue up 6.2% to N188 billion
FCMB Group Plc has announced its financial results for the year ended December 31, 2019 recording Group’s gross revenue of N188 billion from N177.2billion in the corresponding period of 2018.
The Bank also recorded profit before tax, which rose by 9 percent to N20.1 billion from N18.442 billion in 2018.
