Following the frosty relationship between the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, indications emerged yesterday on how governorship candidates of the party brokered peace with the latter.

Governor Wike was conspicuously absent from a meeting of former presidential aspirants of the party convened by Atiku in Abuja.

The Rivers governor, yesterday, said that forces bent on alienating him and his allies in the PDP will account for perceived misdeeds in a coming day of reckoning.

GOVERNOR Nyesom Wike says Rivers State under Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rule has learnt enough bitter lessons from showing commitment to garner highest presidential votes to the party during elections and end up not being appreciated for their efforts.

Uneasy calm seems to be pervading the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  following what party leaders described as mixed signals emanating from  Rivers State Governor, Mr. Nyesom Wike, over the crisis in the party.
