HOUSE of Representatives aspirant for Ndokwa/Ukwuani federal constituency in Delta State, Mr. Chukwudi Okwelum, has said with the landmark achievements of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the party was certain of victory in 2019 general election.

The All Progressives Congress APC has rejected calls by the Peoples Democratic Party PDP asking the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC to declare Ademola Adeleke its candidate in Saturday’s inconclusive Osun governorship election.

 Mr Kassim Afegbua, former Special Adviser on Media to the immediate past Governor of Edo and APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, has defected with thousands of his supporters to the PDP.

The Screening Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), says it has screened the party’s 30 governorship aspirants in the North-East comprising Adamawa, Bauchi , Borno , Gombe. Taraba and Yobe.

Sen. Ali Ndume, has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is not factionalised in any of its state chapters as is being reported.

Osun State election-With four local government areas of Osun state to have the results of last Saturday election collated and officially announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, supporters of the All Progressives Congress APC and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP clashed at the main entrance gate of the commission forcing the security officers deployed for the election to throw several cans of canister to disperse them.

Stemming from the controversy generated by its choice of Port Harcourt, as  venue for its national convention, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has said it opted for the Rivers State capital, ahead of other places, because it met all the requirements to host over 4,000 delegates.

Governor Rauf Aregbesola failed to deliver his home base of Ijeshaland to the All Progressives Congress candidate, Gboyega Oyetola, as the opposition Peoples Democratic Party swept almost all the local councils.

aspirants in four states in the zone especially Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state.

The South-South PDP Gubernatorial Screening Committee on Saturday screened and cleared Governors Nyesom Ezenwo Wike (Rivers), Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta) and Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom) to contest their respective state governorship primaries .
