The Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described the visit of Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s to Egypt for the on-going African Cup of Nations (AFCON) as insensitive, at a time the state faced two tragic incidents.

A group, the Youths Movement of Peoples Democratic Party in South-South, has described the suspension of Hon. Ndudi Elumelu and six other members of the party by the National Working Committee as illegal, warning the NWC not to embark on the journey that will send the party into chaos.

Following the controversy over the twist in its preference of the minority leadership of the House of Representatives,  the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  Friday, announced the suspension of Honourables Ndudi Elumelu,  Wole Oke and five others for a period of one month.

The 26 candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Ekiti State House of Assembly election have dragged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) before a Federal High Court in Abuja, seeking nullification of the election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) members of the House of Assembly over alleged emergence as the party candidates without primary election.

Following the emergence of Ndudi Elumelu as the Minority Leader of the House of Representative as announced, Wednesday, by the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, the National Working Committee, NWC, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has suspended Honurable Ndudi Elumelu and others who were announced as Minority Leader and other principal officers of the house as against the list of choice members it had forwarded to the Speaker.
The NWC suspended Elumelu and six others over insubordination of the party’s interest.
