ENUGU- SHELTER experts have disclosed that affordable housing for low income earners are only made possible though formation of cooperative societies, through which the pool could raise land and mortgage capital for their own houses.

For lasting peace in Oruku community, Nkanu East Local Government Area, Enugu State government has acceded to request of the indigenes of the community, by creating Aguikpa Oruku Autonomous Community, out of the existing Oruku community. 

The Police Command in Enugu State has begun investigation into an alleged killing of one-year-and-five-month old baby by her mother in a community within the state.

Enugu—Enugu State governor, Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has intervened in the crisis which rocked Ogbo Eze North Local Government Area of the state over the extra judicial killing of Chibueze Uramah by members of the Aji Neighborhood watch for allegedly buying dome stolen drugs from a hoodlum.

The first two administrations in Enugu State since 1999 were ran by Dr Chimaroke Nnamani and Mr. Sullivan Chime who had different styles of governance. Whereas the Nnamani administration performed more of human capital development with infrastructural provision, the Chime administration is being hailed today for its high performance in capital projects.
