The Centre for Democracy and Development, CDD, has revealed that its field observers documented 41 instances of vote buying and selling at polling units across six Local Government Areas (LGAs) during the governorship election in Ekiti state.

There were allegations and counter-allegations of money-induced voting levelled against each other by politicians in the conduct of Saturday governorship election in Ekiti.

An Election observer  in Ekiti state, Mr.  Paul James  from YIAGA, has said that people sold their votes during the governorship election for as low as N500.
