In an attempt to encourage Nigerians to see the Jonathan Presidency as a continuation of Yar’Adua’s ‘legacy’, the Federal Executive Council recently announced their adherence to the late President’s controversial 7 Point Agenda.

Yet, our country has failed abysmally to live up to the lofty aspirations of the founding fathers of independent Nigeria. Our fundamental problem is the persistent phenomenon of agbata ekee leadership which has crippled everything. Corruption, ineptitude, hypocrisy, absence of accountability and transparency in governance, and lack of compassion for the less privileged etc have impeded the realisation of our developmental aspirations.

Jonathan can do pretty little
And Jonathan does not have the time in the whole world for the 7-point agenda. But he can at least make an impression on energy and roads. Otherwise, he would not have done anything.
