Nigeria is like the elephant, she forgets nothing and learns nothing. At least that has been the lesson that the outgone elections show.

The earth will not be destroyed by us or even generations worse than we are. It’s an entity that will survive our greed and plunder. What we should learn from the ice age is that it will purge itself of polluting forces and renew itself with a new generation that will adapt and conquer the elements to survive! I pray that we are able to reduce the pollution and come together to develop a new consciousness that will take from the old and modify with the new. We could easily turn things around if profit was no longer our priority at the expense of our humanity.

Let’s face it: ACN’s claim that the South West voted Jonathan, not PDP, is not any less morally compunctious than say former British Naval Commander, Lord Mountbatten’s apology: “Actually I vote Labor, but my butler is Tory”.

And yet even the harangue of political conscience should be less prickly in a politician apologizing to Tory sentiments because he voted Labor than in a politician apologizing to a righteous public opinion for deliberately voting to support bad governance; and worse even, in repudiation of his hard-earned ‘progressive’ reputation.

The rest of Chapter 2, pages 12 to 17, merely reiterate that the case for belief in the death and resurrection of Jesus, as reported in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John cannot be sustained. Chapter 3 offers a plausible explanation of Jesus’ resurrection devoid of supernaturalistic elements.
