Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka has accused a former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar of lying during the holy month of Ramadan, over claims that the committee set up by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of selecting its Vice Presidential candidate in the 2023 election rated the former Governor of Delta State, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, as its first choice.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has dismissed media speculations suggesting that its investigation into an alleged money laundering case is linked to political figures such as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The Presidency on Friday, took a swipe at the former Vice President and 2023 Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar over his allegation that President Bola Tinubu was on the radar of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over his financial dealings as Lagos State governor.

Prominent political figures Atiku Abubakar and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso have strongly condemned the killing of 16 Northern travelers in Uromi, Edo State, calling for a thorough investigation and swift justice.

The National Coordinator of the PDP Coalition, Dr. Emeka Kalu, has condemned what he described as “baseless and unfounded rumors” being spread against the 2023 Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
