NNEWI—A support group for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s presidential ambition, has told Nigerians not to be deceived by what it called last minute moves being made by the All Progressives Congress, APC, government to regain popularity and divert attention from its   misrule.

Former Vice President and presidential hopeful of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, has warned against what he described as a consistent pattern of departure from constitutional due process to tendencies of authoritarianism.

Ahead of  presidential primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, billed for the last quarter of this year, indications have emerged that the party may pick its candidate from the trio of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar; Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State, and erstwhile Minister of Special Duties, Kabiru Turaki.

Recently, some bloggers ‎and online platforms went to town with an obviously orchestrated story that former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar was broke. The linchpin of the story was that the front line politician was so broke th‎at he cannot fund his presidential ambition for the 2019 race.

The former Vice President and PDP presidential hopeful, Alhaji  Atiku Abubakar has again reiterated that the 2019 presidential election is not about him as a person but for the survival of Nigeria.
