AHEAD of his  formal defection to the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Saturday, immediate past chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Lagos state, Mr. Moshood Salvador has directed his followers to urgently register with the APC in their various wards across the state.

A presidential aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, Alhaji Mumakai Unagha, has expressed worry that the party was fast derailing from its original principles and policies.

THE one-word motto of the All Progressives Congress, APC, is “Change.” So resonant and powerful is the word “Change!” as a rallying cry that it was the veritable motor that drove APC to its historic victory in the 2015 elections. And this despite the many obstacles that the nature of the party’s emergence posed to its survival, causing many to predict its disintegration and death even before it could get its name printed on the ballots. For a populace that had watched for sixteen years as the Peoples Democratic Party laid the country to waste, change was not a mere slogan to their ears as they looked for hope and succour; change was the promise of a new beginning.

The All Progressives Congress APC has empathized with House Speaker, Yakubu Dogara on his reported defection to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP, saying a bleak political future awaits him.

GOVERNOR Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom State, Thursday, waved off anxiety over the reported move by rival All Progressives Congress, APC, to take over the state in 2019, saying the party has no genuine agenda for Akwa Ibom people.
