FORMER governor of Edo State and former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has lampooned the governor of Edo State, Mr Godwin Obaseki over reports that he should be arrested for allegedly instigating the protests that erupted in the state last week because of the new naira notes controversy.

Five out of the 18 political parties contesting in the 2023 general elections in Nigeria have adopted the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar.

TEN days before the Presidential and National Assembly election, Heads of some Leadership Institutes under the aegis of Princeton Leadership Forum (PLF) have called on the  General Abdulsalami Abubakar led National Peace Committee to ensure that the Chief Justice of the Federation, CJN, Olukayode Ariwoola and the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Professor Mahmood Yakubu are made to sign the Peace Accord before the conduct of any election.

“Since they came into government there’s been problem of EndSARS, APC governors never spoke. There’s been the issue of fuel subsidy, they never spoke so as the issue of insurgency and a numbe rof things which are very fundamental to the welfare of the Nigerian people, they never spoke.”

With eight days to the 2023 Presidential elections, the movement of the Labour Party and its Presidential candidate, Peter Obi on Friday suffered a setback in Kano as a coalition of gubernatorial, National Assembly candidates and others dumped the party and joined the All Progressive Congress, APC.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Imo State, has cried out over what it described as violent attacks on its members.
