Lafia, The Nasarawa State Police Command on Thursday said it foiled a bank robbery attempt by a four-man gang, following a gun battle with the suspects in Lafia.

Last week, I predicted that despite his sacrifices and exploits for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in its darkest hours, Chief Ike Ekweremadu could still be jumped in the choice of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s running mate for the 2019 presidential election.  Since the announcement would have been made before my article would be in the newspapers, I made it clear that it wasn’t a campaign for him, but retrospection on his roles in weathering PDP’s post-election defeat storm to turn it into the beautiful bride that it is today.

The emergence of Governor Mohammed Jibrilla of Adamawa state as the APC flag bearer for the 2019 governorship election is no longer news. The party’s primary has come and gone as winners and losers have also emerged while the National Working Committee, NWC, the highest decision making body of the party has just ratified the candidature of Governor Mohamed Jibrilla.

Hon. Bashir Adamu, popularly known as Jumbo   in   Jigawa political circle is a household name in the state. Comrade Abba Moro was a former Minister of Interior, former Chairman of Council and Pro-chancellor of two Federal Universities, at several times. He was chairman of Okpokwu Local Government area of Benue state and close associate of former Senate President, David Mark. He recently won the Benue South senatorial ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party. In this interview he spoke about his aspiration to succeed Senator Mark in the senate and his chances.
