There were fatalities associated with a Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC oil pipeline inferno in Osisioma Ngwa, in Abia State last week. Osisioma is close to the NNPC Depot in Aba. NNPC’s preliminary report indicated alleged activities of vandals who hacked into the line to intercept flow of premium motor spirit, PMS in its System 2E pipeline network from Port Harcourt to Aba.

Obasanjo  once knew too much about Atiku Abubakar. Following incessant armed robbery attacks in traffic gridlock, especially in Mile 2 axis along Oshodi Apapa Expressway, Lagos residents who appeared to have given up on Governor Akinwumi Ambode, have cried to the state lawmakers to intervene immediately and save Lagos from total collapse.

I don’t necessary mean that in a complimentary way. I know that politicians and indeed, anybody in public life must have a large heart and a thick skin. I know there are no permanent friends in politics; only permanent interests.

Soji Cole has been crowned winner of the 2018 edition of the Nigeria Prize for Literature for his drama, ‘Embers’ which was chosen out of 89 entries received. Cole was rewarded with $100,000 award at a grand event held on Friday at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos.
