The book, The Fashola Revolution is a compendium on the developmental changes in Lagos State in the last three and a half years. It is written in lucid English dotted with photograph of projects commissioned by Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola. It starts with a map of Lagos State and the brains behind the Revolution who are the cabinet members.

The foreword to the book was written by the Honourable Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Opeyemi Bamidele who said about the book that, “As a performing governor, the man Fashola has acquired a reputation which epitomizes qualities like technocratic competence, integrity and result-oriented strategies which Nigerians often complained had been lacking in their leaders.’

The Commissioner added that , Fashola’s visible achievements in terms of construction of roads and bridges, environmental regeneration, employment generation, health care delivery, amongst others, have created a sense of relief and conviction among Lagosians and Nigerians that, at last, they have a government that is capable of delivering enduring positive changes which they had for long been clamouring for.

Chapter one begins with a historical sketch of Lagos State , especially on the various families as Ojora, Onitolo, Onikoyi, Oniru, Onisiwo, Elegusi etc up to the period the city became the nations capital.

His ten-point agenda for Lagos is well enumerated. Chapter seven likens Fashola to the light that shines in darkness.

It looks at the inspiration behind him and the man behind the light which has enabled him to transform Lagos . It is an exposition on the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) which carries thousands of Lagosians from one point to the other. The Eko Atlantic city is there, the Lekki Free Trade Zone, the proposed Sea and airports on that axis plus the various housing estates are all part of the testimony. In the area of medicare, the governor had gone ahead to build a cardiac and renal centre in Gbagada General Hospital . Chapter eight is a reflection on the lives of great men and Raji Fashola the quiet tempest and his focused mind. He is described as the quiet down to earth fighter, grateful and compassionate and the macho gentleman.

Chapter nine is on his programmes which spans through environment, road construction and rehabilitation to transportation, traffic management, physical planning and slum upgrading, job creation, housing, education, health, justice and revenue generation. Chapter ten deals with Fashola in the eyes of the world; his scorecard with many attestations to the revolution.
