LAGOS—Vice Presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr Peter Obi, said, weekend, that Nigeria’s economy will keep “bleeding” if President Muhammadu Buhari remains in power for another four years.

WITH some two months to the almighty presidential election in Nigeria, one cannot but feel encapsulated in the frenetic build up to that day. Although for now, there seems a situation that can be likened to the calm before a storm, political watchers know for sure that it is all about the calm before the final push. But despite the slow motion build up, things have been happening, right from the moment the identities of the major gladiators and their running mates were known.

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr Peter Obi, Sunday, graced the child dedication ceremony of a well known blogger, Miss Linda Ikeji, in Lagos.

It was a single-issue debate which attendees unanimously found boring, despite repeated audience interruption that tested the patience of moderator Imoni Amarere. Ultimately, however, those interviewed by reporters said there was a winner.

Mr. Peter Obi, Vice Presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was a lone voice, supporting Nigeria’s immediate signatory to the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).

The leaders must have their reasons for rejecting the nomination of the ex-Anambra State Governor so spontaneously and so vociferously. They are yet to let us into those reasons though.

It was clearly sponsored by those who are dismayed that the Vice-Presidential candidate of the PDP, Mr. Peter Obi has no common fault that are observed among many Nigerian politicians and in desperation concoct tales which defy all logic.

The Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 general elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar says his commitment is to fix the ailing Nigerian economy.
