Following the dissolution of Anambra State  executive of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the state legal adviser of the party, Mr. Afam Akonanya, its chairman for Dunukofia Local Government Area, Mr. Andrew Modili and a ward chairman from Okija, Pius Okafor, have dragged the national chairman of the PDP caretaker committee, Ahmed Makarfi; national secretary, Senator Ndii Obi, and the party to an Anambra High Court sitting in Awka challenging the dissolution.

The dissolved South West Zonal Executive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has filed a suit before a Federal High Court, Abuja, seeking an order for the nullification of the 75th  National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting of the PDP and the  adoption at the special non-elective National Convention of the party held last Saturday.
