A member of the Board of Trustees of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George, has traced the current internal strife within the party to injustice and the refusal of leaders to adhere to the constitution.

“I am saying it as a Lagosian. It is arrant stupidity. Why would you tell them to leave? They pay their taxes.”

FORMER Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Olabode George, yesterday, expressed worry over the confusing reports about Nigeria’s oil sector, urging the Federal Government to tell Nigerians the truth about the industry.

George, who gave the advice while addressing a new conference on state of the nation in Lagos, called on the president to unravel issues around oil and gas as well as power sectors to get the country out of the woods.

Speaking further, he added that Nigeria is on the verge of collapse, and mishandling of the protest could degenerate into chaos.

“So, what you need will be people within their community to police them. They know themselves, they know the do’s and don’ts of that culture, and they know the rules of the people in that culture.”

“To be fair to my conscience, he has had that one-year holiday of trying to study the failures of the past administration. I have given him that one year of grace because now he has seen it and lived there.”

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olabode George, has blamed the invasion of the Oyo govt secretariat by Yoruba nation agitators on the failure of intelligence by the country’s security agencies.
