Few highway stops during my childhood holiday trips with my parents ever captured my imagination like Ore, in Ondo State, and 9th Mile Corner, a popular terminus for the weary traveller and corridor for north- or east-bound vehicles.

Many believers in Christ, in their ignorance of the truth, get themselves entangled in most idolatrous festivities of Babylon, one of which is this so-called “Christmas” or Yule-day (Yule-tide) festivity or celebration. Christians are warned by the Spirit of God, in 1 CORINTHIANS 10:14, 7 to flee from this idolatry and its festivities.

The  saying, ‘health is wealth’ is one that many Nigerians, rich and poor, find difficult to understand. They do not easily differentiate the pangs of everyday living in Nigeria from the pangs of ill health but when sickness calls, the import of the saying becomes very obvious.  

The definition of democracy is that it is government of the people, by the people and for the people. When a group of people, through popular votes expresses its trust and confidence in their leader, at regular intervals, Democracy is said to be very much at work.
