The emergence of a new National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has rekindled hope for an exciting and democratic contest for the nomination of the party’s candidates for the 2019 general elections in Rivers State and other states of the Federation through the introduction of direct primary mode of electing candidates.

The government and people of Benue state may have been vindicated following the sack of the Director General of the Department of State Services, DSS, Lawal Daura, over the siege on the National Assembly.

It was a week that the country’s democracy got to the cliff. And it was pulled back forcing the narrative of lawlessness that had cast an evil spectre over the polity to beat a retreat. Perhaps for a season, but hopefully never to return.

THREE-TIME  Senator, Patrick Osakwe, who clocks 70 years, today, says the decision of the former governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, to rescind    his plan to leave the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the All Progressives Congress, APC, is the finest thing that happened to the state in recent times because he would not have been a feeble opponent.
