We are in September, somehow, I am excited. September seems to be a special month. It is the ninth month of the year. Expectant mothers always look up to the ninth month for delivery. Perhaps this is why it is called the month of fruitfulness. It is the month of expectation. It is the month that one begins to appreciate that the year is running out . Hence, the determination to work harder at attaining set goals.

Let’s begin this column this week with a testimony. Someone I am familiar with went on a business trip and she got so exhausted and became worried about how she would board the plane to fly for about 14 hours to return to Nigeria . Suddenly, she found herself singing praises to God while waiting on the long queue to check in.

Within the next few weeks, we shall be in the ember months which signifies that we are moving closer to the end of 2016.

Brothers and sisters, I am starting this week’s Joyful Homes in a joyous mood and I need you to condition yourself to be part of this.

Congratulations you are in the month of August . What is our goal? How do you want to attain this goal? As human beings we are limited . To achieve our goals we need Divine Intervention .

Brethren it’s another edition of Joyful homes. Whatever we are passing through right now the Lord will give us unspeakable joy in the end. First, I wish to remind you that the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s 64th Annual Conference holds from August 1 to August 7 at the Redemption Camp on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. It is a prayer soaked programme, which is open to all believers irrespective of denomination. Endeavour to attend and the Lord will visit you with your miracle in Jesus name.

Brethren, it’s the second half of the year. Thank God that you are still alive and when you look back, you’ll see uncountable reasons to Him, even if you are yet to achieve your desired goal. What is the goal that you so much desire which has remained elusive? Is it a desire to secure a good job and have a joyful home? Are you aiming to have very good results in that professional examination that you have tried over and over again. Is yours a desire to getting married, is yours to have more children or even a desire to have a particular gender of a baby? Are you expecting a boom in your business? Or have you been struggling with the challenge of a sick child or even one that is going off track? Are you a victim of a conspiracy in the family, workplace or even in the church?

Let’s start this edition of Joyful homes with a prayer that God should visit us.

Minutes after I concluded this column last week, I turned to my daily devotional manual, Open Heavens, authored by the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, and the topic for the day was “ Dancing unto the Lord”. I said to myself, definitely, the Holy Spirit is in charge. I had just written about prayer to praise and, now, a respected man of God has ‘ Dancing unto the Lord’ as his topic for us. This gave me the confidence that some people will soon dance as their sorrows are about to be turned to unspeakable joy.

These are trying times for many people in our country. Families are struggling to meet financial obligations, jobs remain scare, retrenchment is the order of the day in otherwise viable companies, and several other people have other challenges.

Waiting on the Lord is an experience that many of us have had at one time or the other.

I begin today’s Joyful Homes with this cheering testimony sent to me with pictures.

New things are happening in this season and the right thing for us to do as Christians is to key into it once it is according to the word of God and get our miracles.

Our focus this week is on keeping a joyful home. In addressing most issues in life, the foundation is crucial. What is the foundation of that marriage you are into? What is the foundation of your search for a life partner? Or even the foundation of the home filled with children?
