Lagos—West African universities should produce graduates who will meet the needs of the entire sub-region, as differences in education systems constitute a challenge of trans-border research, JAMB Registrar, Professor Is-haq Oloyede, has said.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Saturday said it has conducted recruitment examination for about 15,000 candidates of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) across the country.

KOKO—CHAIRMAN of Warri North Local Government Area, Delta State, Mr. Aduge Okorodudu, has appealed to the Federal Government and Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, to create a Computer Base Center, CBC, in Koko, to enable students from riverine parts of the state access the facility with less difficulties.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), said about 200,000 candidates have been offered admission into tertiary institutions, for the 2018/2019 academic session.

An All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) stalwart, Dr Chinedu Ekwalo, has called for scraping of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), saying it was more of money-making than placement of students.

Mr. Oluwakoyejo Oluwatosin, CEO, Chronicles Software Development Company Limited, makers of  Success Tab, Universal Test Engine and the Successbox has disclosed the secret behind many JAMB candidates scoring above 300 in 2017 and 2018 examinations.

The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, has said that the 2019 general elections would not affect the board’s 2019/2020 examination.

Going through admission statistics of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, 90 per cent of the 1.6 million candidates that sat for the entrance examination chose federal universities as first choice.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board,JAMB,has said contrary to agitations in some quarters that its registration fee for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, be reduced,it has no such intention.
