The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, MACBAN, has offered to end all hostilities with Benue farmers and live in peace as brothers.

It is common knowledge that the coming of the Benue state Open Grazing Prohibition Law of May 2017 and the enforcement of same which commenced in November of that year, the state has enjoyed some amount of relative peace from persistent attacks by armed herders when compared to what transpired before the coming of the law.

There is utter outrage and disquiet in Benue state at the moment over the spate of communal crisis and herdsmen attacks in parts of the state in the last few weeks amid the scourge of the novel Coronavirus pandemic that has precipitated a sharp downturn in the economic fortunes of the ordinary man.
