Oshinowo who retired as a Chief Lecturer from the Yaba College of Technology ten years ago has over the years been a consistent feature in art circles, exhibiting and encouraging younger artists everywhere he goes.

With the dwindling trend and repulsive nature at which the young generation frowns at the use of mother tongue, a need to address the situation becomes imperative.

Every time I read the above Scripture, I am struck by a deep feeling that Jesus is speaking those words to Nigerians: “Woe to you, Nigerians, hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of Igbos and adorn the monuments of the innocent, and say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the Igbos.’ Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers’ guilt.”

The veteran artist, Kolade Oshinowo has decried the situation whereby young contemporary artists cannot generate fantastic ideas due to technology. He said that artists have become somewhat copycats using phone cameras to snap images and enhancing it which is devoid of original creative ideas that can be generated through eye contacts and visual rendition of artworks.

The book reveals that everybody needs a measure of power to live well and exert influence, but warns that power must be positively wielded for the good of the society and to alleviate the sufferings of the less-privileged
