As part of FrieslandCampina WAMCO corporate social responsibility initiative to boost students education horizon and afford them the benefits that are associated with information technology know-how in the this 21st century has provided a fully equipped Information Communication Technology (ICT) centre for Ogba Junior Grammar School.

The two South-South states of Rivers and Delta are geographically next to each other.This close affinity appears to have rubbed off on the way they administer their schools as they have a pride of place among those states in the country that are excelling in the implementation of the Universal Basic Education programme.

“We are growing steadily in our academic works. Although there is no primary six examination any more to determine the scores of primary six pupils because of the basic nine system. We monitor our pupils’ performance in technical and state model schools,” declared Bass Musa, Chairman/Proprietor Lexington Nursery, Primary and Secondary schools.

“Education remains the best legacy we can ever give to our children, and no child should be denied of Western Education. It is our duty to train them and rekindle their interest in education so that they can become great leaders that will move the country forward,” he posited.

Recently, a roundtable of stakeholders on the development of a National Language Policy for Nigeria (NLPN) was convened in Abuja by the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council where a Technical Committee on the development of a NLPN was constituted after serious brainstorming.
