Elegantflix Limited, under the visionary leadership of HRM Florence Okonkwo, continues to make waves with the launch of its transformative educational project, which includes a groundbreaking book series, a free acting Masterclass in collaboration with the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), and the global unveiling of the online bookstore.

The event, which will hold at the Natives Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, on February 1, 2025, will bring together education and entertainment enthusiasts, industry leaders, political leaders bureaucrats, and dignitaries, including the former Mayor of  Royal Greenwich,  Chief Cllr Dr. Dominic Mbang.

Speaking about the event,  Chief Cllr. Dr. Mbang commended ElegantFlix for its dedication to education and innovation, describing the educational project initiative as a beacon of hope for Africa’s future. He said:

“HRM Florence Okonkwo and ElegantFlix are setting new benchmarks in education and entertainment. The launch of these books is a testament to their commitment to bridging the literacy gap in Nigeria, while the acting Masterclass highlights their dedication to nurturing the talents of young Nigerians.

The book series to be unveiled during the event, includes five titles aimed at fostering literacy, critical thinking, and creativity. These titles include:

A1-in-English Students Handbook: A comprehensive English textbook for senior secondary school students.

English Language Mastery 101 – Basic: Designed for learners starting their English language journey.

English Language Mastery 101 – Advanced: Tailored for advanced learners and professionals.

Chika and the Lost Oga Phone: A novel promoting honesty and critical thinking among younger readers.

Iniobong, The Introvert: A literature textbook addressing bullying and mental health challenges in schools.

HRM Florence Okonkwo, speaking about the project, emphasized its mission to revolutionize learning in Africa. “Our goal is to bridge educational gaps and empower students with resources that not only teach but also inspire. Through our book series and acting Masterclass, we aim to foster creativity and provide young Nigerians with the tools to thrive both academically and professionally,” she said.

The free Acting Masterclass, will conduct in partnership with the AGN, provided aspiring actors with the opportunity to learn from seasoned Nollywood professionals.

 Participants gained essential skills to excel in Nigeria’s vibrant film industry while celebrating the unique stories that define Nollywood.

Adding to the excitement, the launch of the bookstore will mark a significant step in making educational resources more accessible. The online bookstore offers a curated collection of affordable and culturally relevant books designed to meet the needs of students, educators, and professionals. Okonkwo described the platform as a mission-driven solution to address the barriers to quality education.

 Chief Cllr.Dr. Mbang concluded his remarks by urging stakeholders to support initiatives like ElegantFlix, which are driving change through education and entertainment. “This project is a blueprint for others to follow. It is about empowering our youth, preserving our stories, and fostering a culture of excellence,” he said.
