The Organisation of African Instituted Churches (OAIC), Nigeria Region, has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election at the weekend.

In a letter dated August 16 and signed by the OAIC Nigeria Region Secretary, Snr. Ap. Joe O. Okoh, on behalf of the Regional President, HME Elder Israel Akinadewo, FCA, PhD, the organisation described Adeleke’s victory as well-deserved.

The letter said the governor’s victory at the polls was a reflection of the confidence and trust reposed in his leadership and administration by the people of the state.

It said the renewed mandate provided an opportunity for Adeleke to consolidate the achievements of his first term and further promote peace, unity, welfare and socio-economic development in Osun.

“As an Indigenous Christian body committed to peace, good governance, justice and the wellbeing of our nation, which your humble self is a member through a member-church, the OAIC Nigeria Region joins your family, Government and the entire people of Osun State in celebrating this remarkable electoral success,” the letter stated.

The organisation prayed for divine wisdom, sound health, courage and discernment for Adeleke as he begins his renewed mandate.

It added: “May your second term usher in greater development, prosperity, peace and progress for all the people of Osun State, irrespective of political, religious or other affiliations.

“Please be assured of the prayers and goodwill of the OAIC Nigeria Region as you prepare to commence another term of service to the people.”
