2027: Kinsmen prefer Aiyedatiwa’s aide, Obayangban to Reps member, Odimayo

Youths in lrele, lrele council area of Ondo state, under the auspices of Ondo State Youth Parliament, have drummed support for the ambition of the Special assistant to the state governor on forestry, Hon Bidemi Obayangban, in the House of Representatives election in 2027.

The youths in a surprise turn of events, disowned their kinsman who is presently occupaying the seat, Hon Jimi Odimayo.

Hon. Adewale Adefua, their spokesperson declared, that “We have seen the positive impact Hon. Obayangban has made in our community. It is time for a change, and we believe he is the right person to represent us.”

Adefua said that Obayangban’s initiatives have significantly contributed to the local community, aligning with Governor Aiyedatiwa’s “Our Ease” agenda. They described him as “Mr. Talk and Do,” emphasising his commitment to delivering on promises.

Highlighting the importance of traditional power-sharing agreements, Adefua said “It is our long-standing tradition that Okitipupa Local Government is entitled to two terms, while Irele has one.

“We must respect this unwritten agreement for the good of our constituency.”

Also, the APC youth leader in ward 4, Hon. Ajibade Omogunoye, the Ward 4,said “We are backing Hon. Obayangban because of his humility and passion for our people.

“We believe he can bring about the change we need, despite our kinsman, Odimayo, seeking reelection.”

A councillor and leader of the lrele Legislative council, Sunday Omojunwa, and Senior Special Assistant to Governor Aiyedatiwa on Community Engagement, Hon Gbologe Alex, assured the constituents, that “Hon. Obayangban is dedicated to making a positive difference in our lives. If given the opportunity, he will represent us well.”

Honestly Gbologe Alex, expressed confidence in Obayangban’s potential, urging youths throughout the senatorial district to promote peace and unity as the elections approach.

As the political landscape continues to evolve, the backing of the Irele youths for Obayangban marks a significant shift in local support dynamics, setting the stage for a competitive electoral battle in the upcoming elections.
