LAGOS—A Lagos based businessman, Mr. Austin Ugochukwu, yesterday, told a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, how a People’s Democratic Party, PDP, House of Representatives candidate for Eti-Osa Federal Constituency of Lagos State, in the last general election, Anthony Bakare and other members of his group defrauded him of the sum of N240 million, under the pretence of selling dollars to him.

Outrage trailing introduction of the Ruga settlements policy continued yesterday, with Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, saying it’s going to be an explosive issue, adding that the President ought to have lost the last elections on account of the “lackadaisical attitude which he took to the issue of cattle-rearers.”

Osita Ozalagba is the Acting National Leader of Association of Community Youth Leaders in the South East. The association was recently formed as part of measures to ensure that the ongoing move by members of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, MACBAN, to establish Fulani Youth Vigilance Groups in the South East do not come to fruition. In this interview, Ozalagba spoke on how the association would tackle the problem without creating any tension. He also spoke on why youths should be carried along in the scheme of things in the country.
