Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso, has charged party members to brace up for the task of building the party to reclaim power from the All Progressives Congress, APC, at the centre, urging members to be committed and support the state governor to deliver on his SMART agenda.
He gave the charge during a meeting of the PDP in Okpara community, Wards 4 and 8, Ethiope East Local Government Area of the state during which Chief Mike Ederewhevbe was endorsed as political leader of the PDP family in Wards 4 and 8 of Ethiope East LGA.
Esiso, who hails from Okpara, urged party faithful never to waver in their commitment to the ideals of a greater and better organised PDP as the party remains the best and most productive political party in Nigeria, saying that the current party at the centre has failed Nigerians.
Handing over the baton of leadership of the ward to Chief Ederewhevbe, who retired from NNPC as a top management staff, Chief Love Ojakovo, former Commissioner for Finance in Delta State, charged the new leader to reach out to the lost sheep of the party and bring them back into the fold, affirming that the PDP offers a brighter prospect for engendering progress and development in Okpara community, Delta State and Nigeria at large.
