Chairman, Heyden Petroleum Limited and All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for Ogun East Senatorial District, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has said his party is poised to sweep all elective positions in the state in 2015 general elections.
Abiodun, who spoke at a media parley yesterday at his Iperu country home, assured that he will go to the upper chamber of the National Assembly to promote commerce in the district, ensure power supply to every nook and cranny of the area and ensure that the full potentials of the district are activated for the benefits of the people.
The senatorial candidate observed that the socio-economic and political situation in the country remains unpalatable because successful businessmen like him have stayed away from active politics for too long.
The APC chieftain noted with regret that successful businessmen and women should take the bold step to come into politics to apply their business acumen in turning the situation in the country round for the benefit of the people.
He was of the opinion that if businessmen and women, who had excelled in their various business sectors could come aboard the political ship, they would be able to draft and influence laudable policies that would help the nation identify and explore all available potentials.
Abiodun explained that his coming to contest for the senatorial seat was borne out of his desire to serve his people.
He added that as a successful businessman, he was willing to work with Governor Ibikunle Amosun of the state in transforming the district through attracting Federal Government presence to the state.
The investor disclosed that the Olokola Free Trade Zone in the district would be explored to the maximum by making it a destination for investors.
