Although Pastor Paul couldn’t make it, he was ably represented by Dr and Mrs. Austin Eghobamien , elders in the House on the Rock Ministry. In his acceptance speech, Pastor Paul expressed his appreciation at being nominated as the Allure Style Icon 2009. He went on to show that God is the ultimate Style Icon. Quoting from Revelations, he talked about the description of Heaven as visualized by the Apostle John.” The streets of Heaven the bible says was paved with gold. The gates of diamonds and precious stones, what could epitomize style more than an abode that is paved with such precious metals.” He asked.

On her part, Ms. Zemaye Grace Egbagbe was clearly overwhelmed by the wealth of goodwill that she received from everyone, and especially since she won the Icon Award.

In her speech, she projected that tte award will surly go far, and will become a coveted position by those who care about style. She thanked Nigerians for voting her as the most stylish person, while wishing that somebody else would be given the opportunity next year.

Apart from the Crystal plaque, the Icons were given 42” plasma TV’s.
