The Federal Government has renewed its commitment towards the fight against corruption, saying there is no going back on the war against corruption in the country.

Citizens, civil society leaders and other stakeholders have raised “serious concerns about the escalating series of kidnappings, killings and insecurity across the country, which are clearly fuelled by years of grand corruption and impunity of perpetrators,” and stated that, “only ambitious and robust anti-corruption fight can end the insecurity in the country.”

Prof. Yemi George SAN, President of the Center for Socio-Legal Studies has said that corruption has become so endemic, deep-rooted and multi-faceted in Nigeria that it needs to be tackled systematically.

CHIEF Justice of Nigeria, CJN,  Justice Tanko Mohammed, said, yesterday, that the judiciary would assist the executive arm of government fight corruption, describing the nation’s judiciary as one of the best in Africa.
