Governor of Abia State,Dr. Alex Otti has disclosed why he refused to respond to the claim by the Deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, that he(Otti) will be the last Governor of the Labour Party, LP, as the All Progressives Congress, APC, would take over the state in 2027.

 Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, Thursday, effected a minor cabinet reshuffle shortly after swearing in six new Commissioners.

Otti warned the new appointees that there is no room for infighting, stressing that his administration has zero tolerance for czorruption and any act capable of bringing the government into disrepute.

Governor Alex Otti has revealed why his former Commissioner for Health, Dr Ngozi Okoronkwo, resigned her appointment.

Gov. Alex Otti has ordered security agencies to ensure immediate rescue of three school children of same parents stolen by a motorcycle operator last week at Ikwuano.

“So, it may not be a priority at this time to open up the doors to bring in new people, except if we have a way of exiting a few people.

“Our place must develop. We will continue to build road , we will continue to be cleaning up the environment, we will continue to create jobs , we will continue to put our state on the map.”

The agenda of their meeting was not disclosed but pundits believe it might not be unconnected with the political developments in Imo State, and the possibilities of the former Governor joining the Labour Party.

“Abia’s resources should be deployed evenly to promote public interest and developments across all sectors and strata of society.”
