At the last gathering with the Muslims during the Hajj season, the Prophet Muhammad’s (s.a.w.) farewell sermon was delivered at the valley of Arafat, about 81 or 82 days before his death. It contained the very fundamentals of Islam.

It is not uncommon to see some Muslims criticising the celebration of the birth of the prophet saying it is innovation and therefore not acceptable. Innovation – Yes!, unacceptable – No!

Praise be to Allah, the Creator and Controller of the worlds. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon the prophet (SAW), his household, his companions and all believers of pre-destination. Among the duties of a Muslim is to act as protector of aqeedah (creed, faith, believe) and to purify it from wrong believe and practice because, faith is the foundation of Islam.

In making life more meaningful and truthful, every Muslim must first give glory to Almighty Allah for giving us everything that we need to make a truthful life. The coming of Prophet Muhammad, the Quran, the Hadiths and the entire life of the prophet are enough means to guarantee a successful life and gain the hereafter if we choose to live by them.

A SIN is an act in contrast to the will of Allah. A sin is committed when someone causes harm to to others or to any other creature of God. There are laid down rules and legislation and going against these ordinances of God is considered as a sinful act.

DISTURBED by the recent spate of multiple bomb blasts in several parts of the country in which hundreds of innocent Nigerians including journalists were killed in various attacks by Boko Haram in the northern part of the country, the Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria, MUSWEN, at its retreat held at the University of Ibadan, has condemned the attack saying the group is not a representative of the Muslims in the country.

THUS, the purpose of this write up is not to judge others or decide matters that we have no right to decide, but to call attention to the dictates of Shariah.

Any time I read any of the quotes of Prophet Muhammad, the feeling of satisfaction of being a Muslim and having a great leader as Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) resonate in me. Islam through Quran and hadiths has every solution for man, for peaceful co-existence, development, and gaining the hereafter.

I will start with this verse of the Holy Quran: “With every hardship there is ease, with every hardship there is ease.” (94:5-6). In the early days of Mecca, there were many problems and difficulties. At that time, Almighty Allah assured them (the believers) by revealing the verse.

ALLAMA Ibn al-Qayyim said: Section of hadiths which gives the dates of future events. This includes hadith in which it mentions such and such a date, for example, “In the year such and such, such and such will happen” or “In the month such and such, such and such will happen.”
