Police Service Commission under Okiro, the chicken has come to roost
The recent announcement of the nomination of former Inspector-General of Police, Sir Mike Mbama Okiro, to head the Police Service Commission, (PSC), was received with wild jubilation across the length and breath of the country. In fact, the joy was more pronounced in police formations across the country as both the rank and file openly commended the choice made by President Goodluck Jonathan even when the relevant bodies are yet to endorse it.

Man runs amok in Lagos
HELL was let loose recently in Lagos when a 30-year-old man identified as Kehinde Akinpelu ran amok, armed with a sharp knife, threatening to kill anybody at sight. The incident which took place at Oloja area of Bariga in Lagos made people living in the street to scamper for safety in different directions.

Police hunt for fake developer that swindled clients of N60 million
The police in Ojodu-Berger, Lagos, last week, arrested an estate agent identified as Laitan Oladeji, 40, for allegedly swindling about 200 prospective tenants of about N60 million.
