A 30-year-old security guard, Charles Olise, has been arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court over alleged forgery and impersonation.    Olise, who was docked before Magistrate Dan Oni is facing a three-count charge bordering on conspiracy, forgery and impersonation.

The police prosecutor, Edet Okoi, told  the court that  the defendant and one Austin, at large, conspired to commit the alleged offence on April 23, 2013, at about 1.30 p.m at Gloworld Opebi, Ikeja.   He said that the suspect forged an identity card and presented himself as Mr Timothy Ogunsola at the Gloworld office in order to retrieve Ogunsola’s functional glo line.

Okoi also alleged, that  the defendant, intended to use the Glo line of Ogunsola to commit felony, thus falsely presenting himself as the owner of the number.  He added that it was discovered upon checking the customer data on the system that the information given did not tally with the registered number. The prosecutor said that the offence committed contravenes Sections 78(b) and punishable under section 363 and 409, Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2011.
