Edo moves to boost health care delivery

As governor asks Assembly to amend Primary Health Care Devt Law 2015

BENIN CITY— GOVERNOR Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has presented a bill for the amendment of the Primary Health Care Development Law 2015 to the state House of Assembly.

The letter by the Secretary to the Edo State Government, Prof.Julius Ihonvbere, appealed to the House to expeditiously consider the Bill so that it can be used to boost the health care needs of the people of the state.

Speaker of the House, Mrs. Elizabeth Ativie, referred the bill to the House Committee on Rules, Business and Government House for consideration.

Also, the report on a bill for a Law for the Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Edo State was presented by the Majority Leader, Foly Ogedengbe.

However, the Speaker directed that it should be slated for further legislative process.

Meanwhile, Muslim faithful in Edo State House of Assembly have been charged to support the House in prayers to succeed in the task to enhance the welfare of staff and success of the sixth assembly.

The Speaker, Ativie made the charge when she led members to break their fast with Muslim Staff of the House.

She noted that it was important for staff to remain united and pray for the leadership of the House irrespective of religious affiliation.
