Gaya lauds Buhari for retaking16 lost councils in 4 months

KANO – A stalwart of All Progressives Congress, and Senator representing Kano North Senatorial District, Architect Kabiru Gaya has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for recovering the 16 Local Governments Areas in the North East hitherto controlled by the dreaded Boko Haram sect.

The former Governor of Kano state who spoke in Kano, weekend against the backdrop of military gains in recent weeks, noted that it was a huge success to have cleared landmine set by the insurgents on a number of strategic highways on lost territories.

Senator Ibrahim Kabiru Gaya stated the military feat calls for celebration as no single local government area within the combat zone was under Boko Haram, ‘our Soldiers are on the move rather then waiting to repeal attacks’.

Gaya further commended Mr. President for converting the Presidential task force to Commission or Agency with full mandate, as he stressed the the step would ensure speedy rehabilitation, reconstruction of the affected territories in the North East.

‘I’m happy the President listen to us on the General TY Danjuma Presidential Commission, and the person steering the commission is a man of integrity, just, reliable and a Philanthropist who uses his wealth in advancing education in Nigeria. ”

Senator Ibrahim Kabiru Gaya, who noted that President Buhari inherited a hopeless system worsened by the activities of the insurgents, further appealed to Nigerians not forget these traumatic experience and pray for the success of President Buhari’s administration.

Gaya said that Buhari is working toward rescuing Chibok girls despite the challenges.
